When Champion International sold off its industrial timberland in northern Vermont two decades ago, the state of Vermont became a key piece in the mosaic of new owners and land managers. Filmmaker Ben Silberfarb turns his camera on the state’s 22,000-acre West Mountain Wildlife Management Area, and shows how thoughtful management and natural recovery have combined to strengthen the land’s biodiversity.
