Saturday, April 27, 2019: a Demonstration & Discussion of Techniques Promoted by Irwin Post
The Post Family Wood Lot, 1998 Trebo Rd., Chester, Vermont
Please join us for an interactive workshop and brown bag lunch, exploring long-term Northern Woodlands' contributor Irwin Post's practice of intensively managing young forest stands. Irwin described this approach in his final article for the magazine, "Beyond Hunter-Gatherer Forestry."
Expect extensive walking on rough terrain. Dress to be comfortable in cold weather outdoors. Activities will include using simple hand tools (provided).
This event is made possible through support from the Irwin Post Speakers' Fund, reflecting his legacy of sharing knowledge with others, and his devotion to quality forest management.
