Decorative woodsy background

September 2024

September’s photos included great close-ups of insects, snakes, and a few plant species less frequently observed. Judy Sweet discovered spikenard berries in Ashfield, Massachusetts, Elise Torello photographed a damselfly on a lily pad in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, Joyce Layne captured exquisite autumn colors in North Chatham, New Hampshire, and Bruce Lindwall took a neat photo of loons on a very foggy morning in Craftbury, Vermont, from a handmade canoe of locally harvested wood.
