Birds featured in many of your June photos. Don Wharton welcomed a visit from a famous white robin and Geoffrey Bluh documented the happy resolution of a perilous woodcock chick crossing, thanks to caring drivers. You also shared many insect images, from Jennifer Brockway’s dazzling three-part series showing an unfurling luna moth, to Sissy Ffolliot’s macro shot of a fearsome looking (but harmless to humans) black giant ichneumon wasp. And this just in from the “ugh” desk: a beautiful image of a notorious pest – the Lymantria dispar (formerly known as Gypsy moth) caterpillar, an EAB riddled log, and the impact of ticks on one hare.
