1 Dorchester Rd, Lyme, New Hampshire
Join us for a special afternoon of music with composer and pianist Ben Cosgrove, returning to the Lyme Congregational Church for an unforgettable performance. Known for his evocative, landscape-inspired compositions, Ben’s music moves gracefully between classical and folk traditions, weaving together themes of place, geography, and the natural world.
Described by The Boston Globe as “a sonic plein-air painter… [using] his piano as a paintbrush,” Ben has performed in 49 states, collaborated with artists and scientists alike, and composed for film, radio, and major institutions including NASA, the National Park Service, and the National Forest Service. His most recent album, Bearings, explores the tension between movement and rootedness through rich, improvisation-based soundscapes.
Whether you’ve heard him before or are discovering his music for the first time, this is a chance to experience Ben’s unique artistry in an intimate, acoustically rich setting.
Free! Please consider a $10 donation at the door.
Presented in partnership between Northern Woodlands and the Lyme Congregational Church.
