Decorative woodsy background

October 2021

Your October photos included late season arthropods and fungi, and a number of landscape scenes featuring water, mountains, and fall foliage. Susan Margolis dazzled with a macro shot of a beetle, Bill Leary discovered a soon-to-hibernate wood turtle, and Ross Lanius made a lucky find: an off-course sandhill crane. The perfect shot for Halloween: Nancy Halloran’s jack-o-lantern mushrooms growing (and glowing?) along Salisbury, Massachusetts’s Ghost Trail.
