Photographer Tod Seelie spent last summer in Philadelphia working on the Miss Rockaway Armada, a largescale art project. “During our building phase,” Seelie said, “a massive heat wave wrapped the city in a suffocating state, so we searched out the local options for cooling down and discovered this amazing swimming hole in the Wissahickon River. We ended up there at the end of the day, and caught the mugginess in the late day glow as the light disappeared.”
