Last October, while on assignment to photograph fall foliage for The New York Times, photographer Caleb Kenna traveled north along Vermont Route 100. “As I was passing Echo Lake in Plymouth, a flaming orange maple tree on a small island caught my eye,” Kenna said. “I thought the scene might make a good drone photo. I like cloudy weather for top-down bird’s-eye aerial photos, as the light is even, and the water reflects the mood of the sky.”
